Job Scope:
As an Implementation Engineer you will be responsible for designing and constructing innovative technology solutions to solve complex business problems, participating in development teams of 3 to 5 people through implementation and deployment.
Additional Roles and responsibilities:
· Perform complex programming, product configuration, and system analysis activities
· Participate in design meetings with Portico team members and customers as required
· Perform complex bug verification, testing and program support for assigned projects
· Understand the requirements for assigned projects, including target environment and business needs
· Facilitate the gathering of technical requirements and publishing of knowledge and solution engineering documents.
· Develop into a Portico product subject matter expert
· Facilitate client satisfaction and project quality
Qualifications:
· 0-5+ years experience in analysis, design, development and implementation of large-scale Object Oriented applications and or vendor package implementations in a consulting environment.
· Development experience with Object Oriented languages such as Java, J2EE and EAI technologies (Tibco, Vitria, SeeBeyond, MQ Series)
· Experience with Oracle or other Relational Databases
· Knowledge of the Java API, including but not limited to JMS, EJB, JSP, Servlets and Jython
· Knowledge of refactoring and unit testing
· Desire to perform hands-on coding and continuously mentor developers
· Bachelors degree; Computer Science, Engineering or Management Information Systems
· Development Methodology knowledge, such as Waterfall, RUP, Extreme Programming (XP) & SCRUM
· Ability to work in a variety of client settings and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
· Superior written and oral communication skills
