Solutions Architect

As a Solutions Architect you will be responsible for the "big picture" on Enterprise solutions and take an active governance role on the project. This will involve the up-front thinking behind creating the solution for the project, solution oversight and planning the ultimate deployment of the system. 

 

Additional Responsibilities:

·        Establishing yourself as a trusted advisor to key client stakeholders

·        Forging relationships and influencing key stakeholders including C-level executives

·        You will collaborate on architecture and design decisions with development teams in an entrepreneurial environment to ensure consistency and creativity throughout the software development lifecycle 

·        Serve as the technical lead on Portico engagements

·        Advise on technical architecture and deployment

·        Provide technical assistance and guidance to project team members

·        Mentor and lead technical teams during Portico installations

·        Analyze architecture requirements, and design technical solutions

·        Assist with Portico product configuration

·        This role requires approximately 70-80% travel to our nationwide clients to support the implementation of the Portico Product.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Superior written and oral communication skills that allow you to engage with colleagues and clients

·        Thorough understanding of technical architecture, internet technologies and infrastructures

  • Strong application design skills
  • Experience designing and developing high-performance, Java based Web applications
  • Experience with relational database design and modeling
  • Experience with JAVA technologies (JSP, Servlets, Applets, JDBC, EJB, Jython, Swing)
  • Experience with XML technologies
  • Experience with Oracle Databases
  • Experience with interfacing Applications to Middleware platforms
  • Prior experience in installing and configuring enterprise grade software
  • 5+ years experience in full project lifecycle covering of large scale Object Oriented systems or vendor package implementations in a consulting environment
  • Bachelors degree; Computer Science, Engineering or Management Information Systems
  • Strong leadership, management and motivational skills
